Eric McConico secured a gritty 29-28 comeback victory over Rodolfo Vieira at the last preliminary fight of the UFC Fight Night 274. After surviving Vieira’s dangerous first-round grappling and submission attempts, McConico found his rhythm on the feet. He dominated the final two frames with sharp combinations and superior pressure, successfully stuffing Vieira's late takedown attempts to edge out the decision on the scorecards.

Next up in the heavyweight division, we have a fascinating clash of styles as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend Marcus "Bucheca" Almeida faces off against the heavy-hitting Ryan "Superman" Spann. It is a classic grappler vs striker dynamic, with Bucheca looking to extend his dominant run while Spann aims to play spoiler in his heavyweight debut.

Montel Jackson vs. Raoni Barcelos starts off. It's Round 1 action and immediately we have Jackson going on the attack on Barcelos.

Jackson vs Barcelos - first round ends. Jackson really had his Mexican opponent in the hold with some quick arm jabs and kicks. Great piece of play as Barcelos had no answer to Jackson's attack.

Superb comeback from Barcelos. He ends Round 2 with a chokehold that floors Jackson. The Bantamweight bout has every bit of action with both fighters not giving up. Jackson will need all his energy and stamina to put off Barcelos.

Round 3 ends but not before Barcelos starting with some kicks and jabs. Jackson started the first round well but Barcelos has brought parity with a fightback in the second round as well as round three. We now await the results.

In the end it’s Barcelos did enough over three rounds to win by split-decision (29-28 x2, 28-29). Raoni Barcelos wins.

Davey Grant up against Adrián Luna Martinetti next.

Englishman Davey Grant against Ecuadorian Adrian Luna Martinetti go up against each other. We have the introduction first.

The first round ends with the two opponents going at each other. A couple of jabs and kicks from either opponent has everyone inside the arena gasping.

Woah! What an end to that second round. Martinetti with a couple of kicks that dazes Grant off his ground. The Englishman cannot believe it that the Ecuadorian landed these kicks. The commentators on-air mention Arsenal, stating that Grant is having a 'Arsenal-esque' performance.

That was some serious fight there! Both fighters began the round with exchange of blows with Martinetti then bringing out his kicks too! Grant kept blocking after blocking before releasing some of his own jabs and kicks. The Ecuadorian held his English counterpart in a hold but the latter somehow broke free. Few kicks and jabs followed with Martinetti ending the round with a kick.

Davey Grant and Adrian Luna Martinetti engaged in a three-round brawl midway through the main card, happily slinging leather for 15 minutes; no quarter asked, and none given. The two battlers were all smiles after the contest ended, and when the scores were read aloud, it was Grant who maintained his cheery disposition.

Rising lightweight prospects collide as Rafa Garcia (18-4, fighting out of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico) locks horns against Alexander Hernandez (18-8, fighting out of San Antonio, TX).

Great start to the first round between the two fighters. Garcia lands some blows to Hernandez with the latter giving it back. Garcia then pins down the American and then following it up with some quick jabs.

We await the final decision from the judges after Garcia vs Hernandez bout ends. Garcia seems upbeat and immediately runs towards the fence to reach out to his family in the stands.

The main event is underway. Both fighters are not giving an inch away. Sterling and Zalal exchange a bit of blows and jabs.

We are now in the third and final round in the Main Event featuring Sterling and Zalal. During the cooling break, Sterling's entourage say to him that he has had the opponent on the mat. His trainer seems to tell him to pin Zalal.

Sterling was all over Zalal in this round. The American-Jamaican put on a choke hold on Zalal right through the round with the latter almost giving away. Sterling did not let loose and Zalal had no answer to it but defend it. Both fighters are tiring.

The round 5 has ended and we will now await the final decision from the judges. Going by instant reaction, it seems Sterling has won this over Zalal.

There it is! No. 5 ranked Aljamain Sterling has defeated No. 7 ranked contender Youssef Zalal by an unanimous decision. Sterling was all over Zalal and it was pretty obvious that the no. 7 seed was struggling against Sterling punches and chokes.
