A pair of explosive matches have been confirmed for ONE Fight Night 36 on Prime Video, which airs live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, October 3.

Headlining this epic night of martial arts action is the highly awaited ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title unification showdown between reigning two-sport king Prajanchai PK Saenchai and interim champion Jonathan Di Bella.

The card also features the sophomore appearance of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Fabricio “Hokage” Andrey, who squares off against promotional newcomer Eduardo “Dudu” Granzotto in a bantamweight submission grappling bout.

The rivalry between Prajanchai and Di Bella started brewing at ONE Friday Fights 68 in June 2024. That evening, the Thai handed his Italian-Canadian rival his first career defeat via unanimous decision to claim the vacant ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title.

Di Bella dominated early using his reach advantage, pristine distance management, and incredibly high fight IQ. But Prajanchai’s vast experience shone through as the battle wore on. The Thai turned the tide by battering his adversary with laser-precise straight left punches and kicks.

Neither fighter gave an inch in the championship rounds, but ultimately, the Thai superstar’s volume, power, and accuracy overcame the Italian-Canadian maestro’s technical brilliance to earn the unanimous decision win.

That monumental victory had Prajanchai joining rarefied air as a prestigious two-sport ONE World Champion.

The Bangkok native returned to “the art of eight limbs” at ONE Fight Night 28 this past February, where he successfully defended his ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship.

There, Prajanchai ripped through British challenger “El Jefe” Ellis Badr Barboza, finishing him via TKO in the fourth round of their main event tilt. His epic performance earned him a massive US$100,000 performance bonus from ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Meanwhile, Di Bella has been on the warpath.

The 28-year-old returned to the drawing board and bounced back with a decisive victory over surging Portuguese striker Rui Botelho last December.

Di Bella followed that up with another clinical destruction of the legendary Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE 172 in March to capture the ONE Interim Strawweight Kickboxing World Title. That set up the highly anticipated unification bout with his nemesis.

Before that battle goes down, Andrey will attempt to get his second consecutive victory in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

“Hokage” showed the global audience his elite athleticism and lightning-fast reflexes to outclass Ashley Williams at ONE Fight Night 30 this past April.

Despite getting the win, the dynamic 25-year-old Brazilian remains unsatisfied. He wants to secure an electrifying finish this time and collect a US$50,000 performance bonus.

However, Granzotto is coming in to steal his countryman’s thunder. The 22-year-old CheckMat product earned his black belt in June 2023 under the tutelage of renowned coach Ricardo Vieira.

After establishing himself on the IBJJF circuit, Granzotto is ready to make his mark on the global stage, and his calm and methodical approach should pose an intriguing clash to Andrey’s wild, all-action style.
