A thrilling pair of Muay Thai battles will go down at ONE Fight Night 35: Buntan vs. Hemetsberger on Prime Video.
Malaysian-American teenage sensation Johan “Jojo” Ghazali will square off against Moroccan slugger Zakaria El Jamari in a flyweight tilt, while Thai fan favorite Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon will trade leather with Russian dynamo Dmitrii “The Silent Assassin” Kovtun in a bantamweight contest.
The three-round showdowns will broadcast live in U.S. primetime from the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, September 5.
Ghazali returns to the “Madison Square Garden of the East,” where he will be eager to silence his critics after falling short in his last two outings.
The 18-year-old superstar, who originally won a six-figure contract during his time at ONE Friday Fights in 2023, hasn’t had the most ideal start to 2025.
First, Ghazali dropped a unanimous decision to then-undefeated Colombian phenom Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan at ONE 170 in January, and then he was dealt another massive blow in his split-decision loss to California native Diego Paez at ONE Fight Night 32 in May.
Ghazali, however, is using those setbacks as fuel. The Malaysian-American knockout artist has been splitting his time at Rentap Muay Thai Gym in Malaysia and Superbon Training Camp in Thailand with the intention of returning to the winner’s circle.
But his forthcoming opponent, El Jamari, is equally pumped to snap his three-bout skid and get back on the winning track.
The Moroccan fighter is in search of his second victory under the ONE Championship banner, and he may have learned some new tricks during his recent stay at Superlek Gym that he’ll look to unleash at ONE Fight Night 35.
ONE Fight Night 35 will also see the return of Kovtun.
The Russian took his promotional campaign to 3-1 this year with two brilliant unanimous decision victories over “Man of Steel” Soe Lin Oo and Suablack Tor Pran49.
Kovtun’s penchant for putting on a show is second to none, and the same can be said about the man who will stand across from him in the ring at Lumpinee Stadium.
Rambolek has established himself as must-watch TV with a string of impressive displays in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
The Thai warrior earned a life-changing six-figure contract to compete on the promotion’s main roster after securing back-to-back knockout victories at ONE Friday Fights in 2023.
Now, Rambolek – the #4-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender – heads into this showdown with Kovtun on a three-bout winning streak, capped by his second-round demolition of Parham Gheirati at ONE Fight Night 29 this past March.
Fans have been waiting to see this bout for months. It was originally scheduled for ONE Fight Night 32, but a last-minute illness forced Rambolek to withdraw.
But with the Thai fully healthy, the clash has been rescheduled and could impact the top-five bantamweight Muay Thai rankings.
