India At Commonwealth Games 2022: Murali Sreeshankar Clinches Historic Silver In Long Jump - In Pics

Murali Sreeshankar settled for the silver in the men's long jump to give India its second medal in athletics at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham. The 23-year-old from Kerala covered 8.08 m in his fifth attempt to finish second behind Laquan Nairn of Bahamas in the final. Nairn also had a best jump of 8.08 m but his second best of 7.98 m was better than Sreeshankar's 7.84 m, so took the gold. Muhammed Anees Yahiya ended fifth with a best jump of 7.97 m.
