A deflected Vitinha goal and Achraf Hakimi brilliance saw Paris Saint-Germain book their spot in the Round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on Sunday, June 23 (IST). The European Champions did not allow a single shot on goal as Luis Enrique's side set-up a mouthwatering tie against Inter Miami.

Paris Saint-Germain won Group B on a goal-difference after Atlético Madrid defeated Botafogo 1-0.

“I think it was a great match, difficult for us, tough from the beginning because Seattle played a great match with intensity and quality on and off the ball. I think all the supporters enjoyed the show, and I like the way we play,” Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique said after the match.

PSG are all set to play Inter Miami, after the Herons drew 2-2 against Palmeiras in their Group A clash. The match will played in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid exited from the Club World Cup on goal difference despite beating Botafogo 1-0 on Antoine Griezmann’s dramatic late goal.

The Brazilian club advanced from Group B along with Paris Saint-Germain after the former's 1-0 win over the UCL winners. Atleti's 4-0 thrashing from PSG did not help the cause as Diego Simeone's men needed a huge margin of victory to advance but Botafogo's sturdy defence stood tall.

Botafogo and Palmeiras will be involved in all-Brazilian clash as the two teams lock horns in the Round of 16 phase.
