Liverpool led half-hour into the match through a neat Cody Gakpo finish, only to give away an easy goal to their opponents minutes past the hour. Nunez, however, would later save the day with a sensational curler from an acute angle to set up Liverpool’s Quarter-final tie against West Ham United.
