Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue Operation Enters Final Phase

The rescue operation for the 41 workers trapped in an under-construction tunnel at Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi is in its final phase. The rescuers plan to insert wide pipes through the debris, so the workers could crawl out of the tunnel through these pipes. The tunnel caved in on November 12. It is part of the Char Dham Yatra project, which has been flagged previously for environmental concerns.
