Uttar Pradesh: Minor Boys Forced To Drink Urine, Tortured With Chillies Over Suspicion Of Theft

A sickening video showed two minor boys in UP's Siddharthnagar being beaten up and verbally abused by a group of men who made them drink urine out of a bottle and rubbed chillies in their anus.

Two minor boys in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharthnagar district were forced to drink urine and had green chillis rubbed in their anus on suspicion of theft. Videos of the alleged incident went viral on social media platforms before being taken down by the police. The victims are ages 10 and 15, respectively.

A sickening video showed the boys being beaten up and abused by a group of men who made them eat green chillies and chug urine out of a bottle, threatening to beat them more if they did not go through with it as they were asked to. The boys were reportedly accused of stealing money.

In another harrowing video of the alleged incident, the boys were reportedly lying down facing the ground, their hands tied and trousers pulled down. The boys were seen screaming in pain as one of the men shoved green chillies in their anus. They were also injected with an unidentified yellow-coloured liquid. According to some media reports, they were given petrol injection.

The videos were shot on August 4, according to an NDTV report, at Arshan Chicken Shop near Konkati Chauraha of Pathra Bazaar police station area of Siddharthnagar.

The Siddharthnagar Police took immediate cognizance of the incident and removed the videos from social media, calling it an “objectionable act against two children.

"A viral video on social media has come to notice in Thana Pathra Bazaar regarding objectionable acts with two minors. After taking note of the viral video, cases have been registered under relevant sections. Six people have been nabbed in connection with the incident," said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Siddhartha, adding that legal proceedings will follow and the accused will be presented in court.
