What is surprising is that Behenji’s move has the support of all the BJP men in her cabinet. Indeed, BJP veterans who till a few months ago were bitter critics of Mayawati unabashedly supported her move to repeal the existing reservation policy. Among them is Hukum Singh, who was the chairman of the social justice committee during Rajnath’s tenure.
The Rajnath camp is naturally cut up and the former chief minister has decided to fight his own little battle. He has even decided to hire a lawyer who will plead on his behalf in the Supreme Court to win the "quota" war.
