Minimum Temperatures Stay Above Normal In Punjab And Haryana

Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a low of 16.1 degrees Celsius, eight degrees above normal. In Haryana, Ambala's minimum was 15.4 degrees Celsius, six degrees above normal while Hisar's minimum settled at 11.3 degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures hovered above normal levels at many places in Punjab and Haryana on Friday, according to the meteorological (MeT) department here. A MeT report showed that Amritsar in Punjab recorded a low of 14.1 degrees Celsius, eight degrees above normal while Ludhiana's low was 14.8 degrees Celsius, six degrees above normal.            

While Patiala registered a minimum of 14 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal, Pathankot recorded a low of 12.7 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperatures of Bathinda, Faridkot and Gurdaspur settled at 9.6, 10.5 and 10 degrees Celsius, respectively.
