The Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) is the first of its kind of network in India which would feature fastest trains in the country. The average speed of Delhi-Meerut RRTS trains would be around 100 kmph that can reach up to 160 kmph, though the design speech is 180 kmph. The RRTS would reduce the current average travel time between Delhi and Meerut from at least two hours to less than one hour.
