NHRC chairman Justice A.S. Anand realises the importance of sensitising those implementing POTA and stopping its misuse. In an interview to Outlook, he explains what the NHRC intends to do.

Do you think POTA is going the TADA way?
Why has the NHRC not taken suo motu action? Have the cases in Jharkhand not warranted it?

The NHRC has been active in Gujarat after the riots. The state has slapped 123 cases of POTA against those allegedly involved in the Godhra case.
