Overcoming the challenges of Covid, Madhya Pradesh began writing a new history from the beginning of the year 2022. The foundation of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh was strengthened under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Here are the key achievements that stood out in Madhya Pradesh:

Cheetahs

The dream of restoring Cheetahs in Palpur Kuno National Park was realised. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released cheetahs brought from Namibia at Palpur Kuno on his birthday on September 17. This was a unique and unprecedented event in the world’s wildlife history. This gave Madhya Pradesh global recognition.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the return of cheetahs in India has once again mended the broken link of biodiversity. India’s conscious love for nature has also awakened with full force. Today the cheetah has returned to the land of India. In the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the country has started working with new energy for the rehabilitation of cheetahs. He said that the future is safe only in the protection of nature and environment.

Indore’s model

A new chapter in environmental history has begun in Indore. The Indore model of making cities free from heaps of garbage attracted the attention of the whole world. This will be an inspiration for other cities. Devguradia area of Indore was once known as a garbage dump site, now the 100-acre dump site has been converted into a green zone. The vision of waste-to-wealth and circular economy came true with the setting up of the Gobar-Dhan Bio-CNG Plant in Indore. Prime Minister Modi virtually inaugurated the Gobar-Dhan Bio CNG plant in Indore.

The Prime Minister reiterated the goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2070 at the Glasgow Climate Change Summit. Madhya Pradesh is making its contribution in this under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The goal is big but the beginning is encouraging and full of energy.

Shri Mahakal Lok

The dedication of ‘Shri Mahakal Lok’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ujjain is an unprecedented event in the spiritual history of India. According to the Prime Minister, the restoration of India’s cultural glory will not only benefit India but the whole world and the entire humanity. The Prime Minister said in his spiritually powered address that ‘Shri Mahakal Mahalok’ is divine. Everything here is supernatural, unforgettable and unbelievable. The worship of Mahakal is a timeless journey to infinity, a journey of joy. Mahakal Lok will pass on the consciousness of supernatural divinity and cultural energy to many generations to come. He congratulated Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the temple committee for this amazing work.

Transformative decision

It is an unprecedented decision of the government to implement the PESA Act in the interest of the tribal community. The PESA Act will take the tribal community to the pinnacle of success. With the implementation of the PESA Act in tribal-dominated development blocks, the tribal community will get the rights of water, forest and land. Through the PESA Act, the work of changing the lives of the tribals has started. Chief Minister Chouhan has given it the form of a grand campaign. Committees will be formed in every village. One-third of the members of these committees will be women. Gram Sabhas will have full right to use water, forest and land of their village. The tribal community will be given back their rights on usurped land. Tribal cooperatives will have the first right on the sand, gravel and stones of the village.

Now the gram sabha will have the right to sell, pick and determine the value of minor forest resources like pickle kernels, mahua flower, mahua gulli, harra, baheda, bamboo, amla, tendu patta etc. Along with this, the Gram Sabha will also manage Amrit Sarovar and ponds. The Gram Sabha will also give consent for growing water chestnuts, fish farming and fisheries in the ponds.

Employment

Working as a mission to increase employment opportunities in the state in the year 2022, a major decision was taken to recruit 1 lakh posts in the next one year. More than 31 lakh 19 thousand self-employment opportunities were created in the last one year in Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Chief Minister’s Rural Street Vendor Scheme, National Rural Livelihood Mission, PM Swanidhi Yojana, National Urban Livelihood Mission, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, Mukhya Mantri Udyam Kranti Yojana and Sant Ravidas Swarozgar Yojana.

Lauded

Prime Minister Modi described the effort to increase the registration of pregnant women in Chhatarpur as a big achievement of Chhatarpur district and an example set for other districts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ praised the campaign on the success of ‘Mera Bachcha Abhiyan’ launched in Datia district to remove malnutrition. ‘Mera Bachcha Abhiyan’ not only helped increase the attendance of children in Anganwadi centers but also reduced malnutrition.

Madhya Pradesh is in the first place in the expenditure of the amount of central share-state share, while using the amount of Rs 2,790 crores in the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme of the Government of India, in the financial year 2021-22. Madhya Pradesh ranks third in providing water to every household.

The remarkable success of the state in the economic sector has also been underlined in the year 2022. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who recently visited Madhya Pradesh, also praised the state in this connection. The state has been ahead in the field of Financial and Public Asset Management (PAM). The economic growth rate was 19.74 percent, which is the highest in the country. The state is making progress in every field. The state set many exemplary innovations in financial management. Madhya Pradesh is making its best contribution in Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Among the important milestones of 2022 were free housing to the poor, interest-free loans to street vendors, bank linkage to women for self-employment, Samman Nidhi to farmers, encouraging farmers for natural farming, introduction of drone system for farming, increase in areas under irrigation, public participation in Anganwadis, investment in industrial areas, Suraj through good governance and launching of Ladli Laxmi Yojana-2.

The "Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan" that started on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17th September continued for 45 days. During this, 28 thousand 600 camps were organised in urban and rural areas. The applications received in these camps were disposed of with sensitivity. 83 lakh applications were sanctioned for 38 beneficiary oriented schemes of the Central and state governments. All 83 lakh new beneficiaries will start getting benefits from the beginning of the New Year itself.
