A bus carrying BSF troops for election duty in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district fell into a gorge, killing three personnel and injuring nine others. The injured are receiving treatment, and the cause is under investigation.

Three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel died, and nine others were injured when a bus carrying troops for election duty fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district on Friday.

The hired bus was transporting BSF jawans for the second phase of assembly polls when it went off the road near Brel of Watarhaal in central Kashmir.

The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment, but three of the jawans could not be saved.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
