Two persons arrested and 70,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 14 crore seized from a rented house in Dakhin Krishnapur, Silchar, Assam's Cachar district.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the seizure on X, crediting Cachar Police, saying "not every drug story gets a season two."
Yaba, known as "crazy medicine" in Thai, is a highly addictive drug combining methamphetamine and caffeine.
Two persons have been arrested with banned Yaba tablets worth Rs 14 crore in Assam’s Cachar district, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
The arrests and seizure were made from a rented house in Silchar.
“Not every drug story gets a season two. @cacharpolice shut this one down with 70,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 14 crore seized from a rented room in Dakhin Krishnapur, Silchar. Two accused were apprehended,” Sarma said in a post on X on Saturday.
Yaba tablet, known as "crazy medicine" in Thai, is a highly addictive drug, containing a mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine.
