Katy Perry has achieved a record total of nine No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 since her breakthrough with the single ‘I Kissed A Girl’ in July 2008, and from her astounding feat of having five chart-topping titles from the 2010 album ‘Teenage Dream.’ This incredible achievement took place at a period of music when notable female pop musicians like Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Adele had a number of huge successes. Notably, Katy Perry is just the second performer in history—behind Michael Jackson—to ever send five songs from a single album to the top of the Hot 100 chart. California Gurls, Firework, E.T., Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F. ), and Teenage Dream are the five tracks mentioned.
