On the special and uniquely dated New Year's Eve of 12/31/23 Taylor Swift is welcoming the year 2024 at the football match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals.
During her ninth appearance at an NFL game, the singer known for "Karma" (aka The Guy on the Chiefs) arrived at Arrowhead Stadium sporting a replica of the white wool and leather jacket with black sleeves, identical to the one her boyfriend Travis Kelce wore to GEHA Field on Christmas Day.
Jeff Hamilton designed Kelce's jacket, which features NFL and helmet patches on the sleeves and the word "Chiefs" in red on the back. Recently, the tight end shared a video on Instagram where he sported a Santa hat, white turtleneck, and this jacket. Swift's take on the jacket alters the original design by swapping the black collar, cuffs, and waistband with versions that are black-and-white striped.

"You can tell the differences in the collar, cuffs and hem," says Sarah Chapelle, the creator of Taylor Swift Style, comparing the two varsity-style coats. "They are definitely similar. It's a nod toward Travis."
The pop icon made her appearance solo, arriving roughly an hour before the game started.
Previously, Swift was seen at the Christmas Day game against the Las Vegas Raiders. During that event, her brother Austin was decked out as a Santa from Kansas City, complete with a big red sack of gifts, while her parents, Scott and Andrea, followed her to their box with a view of the field.

On his podcast "New Heights," Kelce revealed that Austin had gifted him a wrapped VHS copy of his favorite football film, "Little Giants."
Before attending this Chiefs vs. Bengals match, Swift had been present at eight other games:

- On October 1, Chiefs defeated the Jets 23-20
- On October 12, Chiefs defeated the Broncos 19-8
- On October 22, Chiefs defeated the Chargers, 31-17.

- On December 10, Bills won against the Chiefs, 20-17.
- On December 18, Chiefs defeated the Patriots, 27-17.
- On December 25, Raiders won against the Chiefs, 20-14.
The 34-year-old pop megastar and the athlete were seen exiting Kelce's New Year's Eve NFL match together following the Kansas City Chiefs' victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The game ended with a score of 25-17, clinching the AFC West division title for the Chiefs.
12/31/23 may have been a special day for Swift. During her most recent tour stop in São Paulo, Brazil, both of the surprise songs she performed had a connection to "1, 2, 3", "ME!" on the guitar and "So It Goes..." on the piano.
The Chiefs have their final regular-season game scheduled for next Sunday, January 7, where they will face the Chargers in Los Angeles.
