Miley Cyrus has finally released her highly awaited new single titled "Used to Be Young" after building up anticipation among the fans.Th latest release marks Cyrus' first solo track since her March album, "Endless Summer Vacation." The accompanying music video is directed by Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, and is already generating buzz in the entertainment industry.
Cyrus shared the poignant lyrics of the song on her social media platforms ahead of its launch. She revealed that the lyrics for the song were penned almost two years ago during the initial stages of "Endless Summer Vacation," a period when she felt misunderstood. Cyrus further opened up about her creative journey, noting that the song's incompleteness adds to its beauty. She said that the song's lyrics  symbolize her current state of being "unfinished yet complete."

Cyrus in  a press statement elaborated on the meaning behind "Used to Be Young,". She highlighted  its theme of embracing one's past, present, and future. She further expressed gratitude for her dedicated fan base, whose she said turns her dreams into reality. Cyrus also dedicated the song to her fans as a heartfelt token of appreciation.

The music video incorporates innovative technology that allows Cyrus to interact with her mother in a unique way hence holding significance for her. Cyrus shared that the emotional experience of seeing her mother dancing through the camera lens evoked genuine reactions.
Cyrus treated her audience to "Endless Summer Vacation: Continued (Backyard Sessions)," prior to the release of the single, aired on ABC and now streaming on Hulu. Cyrus delved into the making of "Endless Summer Vacation," discussed the hit single "Flowers," and also provided insights into her creative process.

"Endless Summer Vacation" is a follow-up to Cyrus' 2020 album, "Plastic Hearts." The album shows  collaborations with famous producers like Kid Harpoon, Mike Will Made-It, BJ Burton, as well as artists Brandi Carlile and Sia.
