Talent is just the beginning, the aspiring filmmaker, professional video editor, and director, Nile Zaman has proven these words. He worked on the 68th and 69th prestigious and renowned, Golden Reel Awards where he presented his exceptional editing skills and made a mark with his work on the global platform.   

The Golden Reels Award or popularly known as the ‘Oscars of the Sound’, is known for its acknowledgment of phenomenal works in the areas of film sound, sound editing, and sound mixing. The event is known for the recognition it provides artists for their exceptional contributions to the realm of theatrical productions.  

Nile’s journey began with his love for the arts. It took shape with his Master’s degree in FILMS from the New York Academy in 2018 and grew unimaginably following his return to India to spend quality time with his family and explore new arenas and opportunities. The same year he also won at the California Film Festival (2018). 

This was the time when surge of COVID-19 hit its peak, bringing lives to a near halt. However, Nile was able to make the best of this time as he quickly adapted to the situation and put his best foot forward.  

Bringing to the world of entertainment and learning its very own YouTube channel and produced locally capturing the essence of various elements. Within a matter of time, his hard work paid off with widespread recognition and viewership worldwide. This channel was just the start of great things, soon his colleagues reached out to him for work, and with that Nile created his brainchild, a company to cater to all Post-production and Branding needs of his client in Los Angeles while being based in India.  

The company began with Nile and his dream and about an year later he found about 15 more dreamers, motivated and happy to create amazing visuals and pieces of art.  

As the word spread, Nile made a leap when he went on to edit the 68th Golden Reels Award, the first of its kind. The award show was both a great opportunity and a challenge like never before, remote editing from halfway across the globe!  

With dedicated long hours a zeal to present the very best, Nile created a massive hit! In that moment all the time zone varied meetings and sleeplessness paid off, at the highest value, as he received appreciation from Dennis Drummonds and family.  

Following this, his career took a turn from better to best. Nile got the opportunity to create another masterpiece as he was contacted to edit the 69th Golden Reels Awards. His dreams slowly became reality as his name was associated with legends like Ron Howard, filmmaker of the Oscar-winning- award movie, ‘The Beautiful Mind’. The show was loved by the audience and the show director.  

Every piece of Nile’s work has been a reflection of his creativity, love for his work, and his gusto to learn. His most recent work includes a documentary on mob lynching. This awaited piece is set to release around September, post the pending court case.  

Nile has been able to lead by example and is always keen to motivate and polish the existing skill sets of his team. In the past five years, Nile, his company, and dream have come a long way from where they started and all we can do is appreciate his effort and be prepared to be amazed in the future!
