Looking Back: 2013

The year 2013 saw a variety of inflation, in eggs, vegetables, milk, cereals, etc. Here's what some prominent people responsible for prices of commodities said about it:

Onions
C.Rangarajan, Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC):  'In case of onion and vegetables, it is the supply factor which has been responsible for the push-up in prices.'

Vegetables
Raghuram Rajan, Reserve Bank of India Governor: 'In an environment where there is a uncertainty, we have to wait for more data and see the impact of the last couple of rate hikes.'

Cereals
KV Thomas, PDS Minister: Support prices have doubled, consumption pattern has also changed along with rise in price of petroleum products. The EGoM will analyse the situation.

Overall retail inflation
Manmohan Singh, Prime minister: Worry about inflation is legitimate but incomes of most people have increased faster than inflation.

P.Chidambaram: Finance Minister: The answer to food inflation is to increase supplies and radically transform how it is stored, transported, distributed and sold. He also said, 'I am open to suggestion but I am afraid that there is no easy answers to cool retail inflation.'

Sharad Pawar, Agriculture minister: I get beating from both sides. Urban population is unhappy over rising prices while farmers in the villages complain for not getting adequate price. You tell me what shall I do?

What the Astrologer Predicts:

General Elections 2014 & PM Modi?
The operation of Sun’s mahadasha in the nations chart from September 2009 to September 2015 means trouble. When Sun and Saturn are together then conflict between the Government and masses takes place.

In the country’s chart Sun- Mercury dasha will continue till 5th May 2014 then Sun-Ketu will continue for another five months or so. This chart clearly indicates that no single party is forming the government on its own. Beleaguered Congress will get united and give a great fight to its arch rival BJP but will lack due to inherent weaknesses.

In all probability BJP will form the government with the support of other parties including AAP as a major ally. Narendra Modi will remain at the helm of affairs and will bring the Party to the point of victory. But will he be Prime Minister or not only God knows better.

Indian economy & GDP in 2014
With Sun’s mahadasha in operation till September 2015, India’s economy is going to improve tremendously in 2014 especially after the General Elections. There will be a global competition among investors to bring money into this country. The kind of economic changes we will witness in 2014, we have not seen so far. India’s growth figures will also touch double figures in 2015. Within a year after elections India willbe a roaring economic country which the world will envy.

Stock markets and the rupee in 2014

Stability in the Indian economy will have a very positive impact on the stock market which too will stabilize and may even touch 25000 within a year. This boom in the stock market will bring liquidity in the country and help in creating a new infrastructure.

The rupee will strengthen against not only the dollar but other important currencies and its value will also be noticed by other countries of the world.

What the Tarot Cards Say:

General Elections 2014 & PM Modi?
There is uncertainty about who will form the government next year or become the PM according to the cards. Though Narender Modi’s stands a chance as his cards say: “A dashing enigmatic powerful personality who can achieve anything that he sets his heart on.” To be in the most coveted position has been his aim and ambition. The cards say that in all probability he will achieve his hearts desire. The cards also say he will be successful only after facing big challenges. So it may be the NDA led alliance in all probability with Mr. Modi as our next PM.

Rahul Gandhi is happy in the world he has created around him. He will become more powerful but unlikely to become PM.

Indian Economy & GDP in 2014
"Changes are on the Horizon" is what the cards say for our economy in 2014. Certain decisive steps and measures will be taken soon which will lead to opening of deadlocks to bring about an upturn and growth in the economy. The new government will provide new direction and decisive action.5 months down the line from now and there will be a discernible change. We will see it in the figures.

Stock Markets & the Rupee in 2014
Stock Markets will be overall good for sure due to sentiment of the masses because of the impending change. Markets will see the real growth in the third quarter while the fourth may be subdued.

Indian Rupee will fluctuate only marginally for short periods but remain in the 61-62 to a dollar.
