- Carry a limited amount of cash with you and leave those credit cards home.
- Don’t window-shop. That’s akin to going to a bar just to have a look if you’re a recovering alcoholic.
- If you must window-shop, do it after stores have closed.
- Make a shopping list and only buy what is on the list.
- Stay away from advertising. Just remember they are only after your money.
- Look the other way when you see the sign SALE.
- Try taking a walk or exercise to control the urge to shop.
- If you feel out of control, you probably are. Seek counselling, it’ll work out cheaper in the long run.
- Remember too much of anything is not good.
