He has strived from half a decade to earn youth to give up single use plastic. And his efforts have moved mountains.
Meraj Husain is a man who lets his action do the talking. But when it comes to motivating youth towards doing good, there is no holding him back.
"If you want to stand out from the crowd, you need to give them a reason to do so. And the rest will be history," smiles Meraj Husain speaking to a team of youngsters, as they listen with eagerness.
Creating a real dent in an artificial world, Meraj works on not just banning plastic, but banning relationships and personas from turning plastic as much.

Through Bhamla Foundation, Meraj Husain, empowered by Bhamla Foundation, has enabled Bhamla Foundation to joining hands with the United Nations environment program and with the theme Beat Plastic Pollution, curated an anthem Tik Tik Plastic with renowned singers and celebrities of our nation. This initiative was recognised and lauded by our Hon PM Narendra Modi and unveiled by him as well. The anthem went on to became a cult song to ban single use plastic. This initiative paved way for the State of Maharashtra to become the first state of india to completely ban single use plastic. Supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, these initiatives enabled spark many initiatives with government as well as hoteliers and various industrialists to implement the ban of single use plastic.
