Ronnie Teja was born in Jalandhar, India, on 17th February 1985, where he completed his schooling and later shifted to Mumbai to complete his BA in Marketing and Microfinance from St. Xavier’s College. Owing to his academic excellence, he enrolled at the London School of Economics to study the subject of Welfare economics. His journey was cut short as his family migrated to Canada in 2008, and he had to restart his life afresh. To sustain himself financially, he juggled between three odd jobs, including a short stint picking blueberries from 5 am - 2 pm for six months till he found a way to get out of that circle and enter the entrepreneurial world.

Ronnie Teja got acquainted with e-commerce when the industry was nascent and started learning more about the subject. Soon after, he joined HSBC Canada as the digital manager for retail banking, followed by a job at Best Buy Canada and simultaneously working for an e-commerce start-up. While working for these entities, he realised the power of e-commerce and decided to plunge into it as an entrepreneur. That was the beginning of his entrepreneurial career.
