When on November 14, 2000, Sanjay Dutt and friends called up cellphone number 00971505651193 from a hotel room in Nasik, little did they know that their entire conversation would be replayed in the public domain one day. But they had almost got away. For several months, Bharat Shah's lawyers tried to tell the sessions court that their client was not alone if mere talking to the underworld was a crime.
