As per a recent report by Hindustan Times, the late superstar Dev Anand‘s bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai, has been sold at an estimated sum of Rs 350-400 crore. It is believed that Dev Anand, along with his wife Kalpana Kartik and children Suniel Anand and Devina Anand, lived for four decades at the property.

According to the report, Dev Anand’s residence has been taken over by a real estate company, which aims to demolish it and construct a 22-storey tower in its place. Dev Anand’s children, Suniel and Devina, have reportedly made the decision to sell the property, mainly due to the challenges of its maintenance. While Suniel lives in the United States, Devina resides in Ooty with their mother Kalpana.

Earlier in an interview with Outlook, Dev Anand had mentioned his reasons for choosing to build his home in Juhu. At the time, the area was much away from the city’s hustle and bustle. However, he later was not too happy with the transformation of Juhu into a prime location, and said, “It’s not the same beach any longer.”

Meanwhile, it is also being reported lately that the Pali Hill bungalow of the late actor Dilip Kumar will be replaced with a luxurious 11-floor residential project on the plot.
