Amid ‘Boycott TKMOC’ Trend, A Look At 9 Actors Who Left The Show Midway, From Disha Vakani To Shailesh Lodha

From Disha Vakani to Raj Anadkat, check out the list of actors who left ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ midway.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Most of us are aware that ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is one of the longest-running sitcoms on the TV screens. It has been more than 15 years that the show has made the audience both laugh and cry. Over the years, the characters have managed to carve an irreplaceable space in both the heart and mind of the viewers.

The show, which revolves around the lives of typical Indian Co-operative Housing societies, has recently been in the news for the return of Disha Vakani, or Dayaben. While the makers had hinted that the character will return during the Diwali episodes, it was recently confirmed that Dayaben will not be back in the Gokuldham Society soon. This led to ‘Boycott TMKOC’ trending on social media with fans accusing producer Asit Kumarr Modi of making false claims.

But it cannot go unnoticed that over the years, several members of the show have taken an exit from ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. Let’s take a look at them:

Malav Rajda

After being associated with the show for more than 14 years, the show's director Malav Rajda bid adieu after filming the last episode of the show on December 15, 2022. At that time, it was said that he exited the show due to creative differences. However, later, he informed Hindustan Times that he had no fallout with the production house and only has gratitude for TMKOC's producer Asit Kumarr Modi.

Ever since then, there have been speculations that she would return but as per recent reports, it looks like the search for a new Dayaben is going in full swing.

Bhavya Gandhi

Bhavya Gandhi, who was known to play the role of Tapu aka Tipendra Jethalal Gada, was one of the most popular characters in the show. After being on the show from 2008-2017, he left the show as he wanted to explore new opportunities.
