The longest-running sitcom on television, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' often grabs the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The show is trending now on social media as many have called for a 'boycott' of the show. The reason is after several claims that they will bring back Disha Vakani aka Dayaben on the show, the makers are not being able to do that. This has left the fans disappointed with the makers and they think that they have been fooled.
The makers often release promos of the show on social media promising that Dayaben is returning to 'TMKOC' but there has been no sign of her return. Even the show's producer Asit Kumarr Modi frequently spoke about Dayaben's return. Recently, there were reports that she will be back on the show on Diwali. But again, the same old story. This led to fans demanding to boycott 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'.

In a recent episode, it was shown that the entire Gokuldham society was waiting for Dayaben's arrival. Jethalal and Tappu were seen getting angry at Sunderlal, Dayaben's brother as he promised them to bring back his sister.
After ‘Boycott TMKOC’ started trending, everyone thought that the show would go off-air soon. The producer has now reacted to it.
As per a report in TellyChakkar, Asit issued a statement clarifying that 'TMKOC' is not going off-air. The statement read: “I’m here to entertain my audience and I will never lie to my viewers. Only due to certain circumstances, we are unable to bring Daya’s character back on time. But, that does not mean that the character is not going to enter the show at all! Whether it is Disha Vakani or someone else, the time will tell. But, it’s my promise to the audience that Daya will be back, and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is going nowhere. It is not an easy task to run a comedy show for fifteen years. It is one of a kind, which has not witnessed a single leap''.

This is not the first time has has promised. We hope Asit keeps his words this time and not let the audience disheartened again.
