Ever since ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ was released one actor has become a household name, and that is none other than Sebastian Stan. The actor has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in many movies, and now he is all set to take on the coveted role of playing a young Donald Trump in the upcoming film ‘The Apprentice’.

For the unversed, ‘The Apprentice’ will be directed by famous Iranian filmmaker Ali Abbasi. Also, Jeremy Strong and Maria Bakalova are touted to be a part of the film. Jeremy Strong is known for his indelible performance in ‘Succession’. On the other hand, Maria Bakalova is an Oscar nominee – a fact that makes the film even more star-studded. She was nominated for her role in ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm’.

The film is said to be revolving around the exploration of ambition and power which always comes to affect when you’re set in a world of deceit and corruption. The storyline will take you through the troubles and tribulations a young Donald Trump faced trying to build his real estate business back in the 1970s and 1980s in the city of New York. The film will also dig deeper into Donal Trumps relationship with Roy Cohn. Roy Cohn is one of the most famous (or rather infamous) attorneys in the history of United States. The film will revolve around this duo’s mentor-protégé story.

As per reports on Deadline, Jeremy Strong will portray Roy Cohn. Maria Bakalova will be playing the character of the late Ivana Trump, who was married to Donal Trump during that time period. However, the two split up in 1992.

While Gabriel Sherman will be the writer of the entire project, it shall be produced by Daniel Beckerman, Jacon Jerek and Ruth Treacy. Gabriel Sherman is known for writing the bestseller ‘The Loudest Voice In The Room’. That book was later turned into a miniseries for Showtime called ‘The Loudest Voice’. It had Russel Crowe as the main protagonist of Fox News founder Roger Ailes.

Among the producers, Daniel Beckerman is from Scythia Films, Jacob Jerek is from Profile Pictures and Ruth Treacy is from Taylored Films.
