‘Shaakuntalam’ Song 'Yelelo Yelelo' Sung By Javed Ali Out, Features A Pregnant Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Shaakuntalam’ featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan has become one of the most awaited films of the season. The periodic love tale of Shakuntala and Dushyant is set to be released on Valentines' Day week. The trailer and the first two songs have created a buzz in the market, and now Tips Music with Gunaa Teamworks has released the third track titled 'Yelelo Yelelo' from the upcoming epic mythological film.

Presented in the loved voice of Javed Ali with the soothing composition by Mani Sharma and lyrics by Prashant Ingole, the song tackles the emotions of the pregnant Shakuntala embarking on a strenuous journey to meet the love of her life - King Dushyant.

What stands out from the very first moment is Javed's incredible baritone, his voice is clear, crisp and rock-solid coupled with well-written lyrics and cutting verses. ‘Yelelo Yelelo’ is an apt example of how simplicity and authenticity can capture somebody's soul. The video of the song features a beautiful swan-designed boat with a picturesque blue river stream and lovely aura of the blue sky.

Talking about the track, Javed Ali said, "’Yelelo Yelelo’ is a musical and lyrical masterpiece, rarely do we come across such a song which reminds us of the rich Indian musical heritage. It was amazing working with Manisharma. Prashant Ingole's lyrics propel you to dive deep into the world of thoughts. Both together weave an imagination which is never heard before".

Based on Kalidasa's internationally acclaimed Sanskrit play ‘Abhigyana Shakuntalam’, the film features Samantha as the titular character and actor Dev Mohan as King Dushyanta. The film is scheduled to release on February 17, 2023, and is produced under the banners of Dil Raju Presents, Sri Venkateswara Creations, and Gunaa Teamworks. 

Directed by Gunasekhar and produced by Neelima Guna, the film also stars Allu Arha, Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr M Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Jisshu Sengupta.
