The Sidharth Malhotra-Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Mission Majnu’ will now release on Netflix on January 20. The release date of the spy thriller has been pushed quite a number of times, and finally, it is set to land on Netflix. The trailer of the film was released a little while ago, and trust me, it’s nothing unique. It has the feeling of any regular spy thriller based on Indo-Pak cross-border tensions.

Doesn’t the trailer give you a feel of Zain Khan Durrani starrer ‘Mukhbir – The Story Of A Spy’ and John Abraham starrer ‘RAW’? Well, the presentation could be different from the two films, but the one-line plot of ‘Mission Majnu’ does seem to be pretty similar to the aforementioned titles.

The cast and crew associated with the film took to their social media pages to share the trailer.
For the unversed, directed by Shantanu Bagchi, the espionage thriller is set in the 1970s and has Sidharth Malhotra essaying the role of a RAW agent who leads a covert operation on Pakistani soil. The film also marks Rashmika Mandanna’s second film in Hindi after ‘Goodbye’. ‘Mission Majnu’ was supposed to be her first film, but the numerous delays in the release of the film made sure that ‘Goodbye’ became her first release in Hindi.
The Shantanu Bagchi directorial brings to the fore a fresh pair in Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna. It is Sidharth Malhotra's next after the massive debacle of ‘Thank God’ and Rashmika Mandanna's next after ‘Goodbye’.
