Samantha Ruth Prabhu continues to be one of India’s most popular and loved actresses across the country, and what makes her so popular besides her unfiltered real personality is her magnetic screen presence and her ability to perform in any range or role. Her latest release, ‘Kushi’ is here to prove the same as the actress is already winning hearts with this romcom outing, a genre she has stepped into after a while.

More recently, we have seen so much versatility in her projects which have been extremely different from the others. Let’s have a look at her vast range of roles in various genres that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has impressed us with in recent times:

‘The Family Man 2’

In the second season of the series, Samantha played the role of Raji- a weather-beaten tough soldier. She had taken on a completely different look in the show, looking completely unrecognisable and so believable as her character with her portrayal of a resolute Sri Lankan Tamil liberation fighter, on a suicide mission to perfection, with her action skills just as phenomenal.

‘Pushpa: The Rise’

Next is her path-breaking song ‘Oo Antava’ from ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ where her sensuous and super-hot avatar surprised everyone, making the song a sensation not just across India, but globally as the world was seen imitating Samantha’s moves and her hook step in viral videos on the internet becoming one of the biggest and most impactful songs of India.

‘Yashodha’

Samantha took on the role of a pregnant mother with a thrilling and action twist in this film. From a sweet innocent woman to a brave, feisty one, she impressed viewers with her character arc and once again, did something totally different from her other releases.

‘Shaakuntalam’

In the film, she played the role of an apsara with extreme poise, grace and elegance. Truly committed to her craft, she also took training for posture for this film and what we saw on screen was a beautiful princess, hardly believable as the same woman who was doing solid action and killing men in her role as Raji.

‘Kushi’

In her just-released film ‘Kushi’, the actress plays the role of Aradhya, a very real character. The film showcases the story of a couple that falls in love and decides to marry against the full agreement of their families, to be followed by a portrayal of the realities of an after-marriage life, in a humorous way. While the chemistry of Samantha with Vijay Deverakonda has been a completely separate topic of adoration from fans, her acting as Aradhya, with the most expressive eyes, detailed expressions and powerful performance, is being loved in her new avatar.

Samantha has always been winning the hearts of the audience with her versatility and range. It is truly the believability of her performance that makes her characters stand out. Samantha will next be seen in ‘Citadel’ in which she will take on a completely different role, with levelled-up action and more.
