One hot topic that has graced host Karan Johar's controversial couch in 'Koffee with Karan' Season 8 has been nepotism. No matter who stars on the show, he wants to know their views on the nepotism debate. During the latest episode, he didn't miss out on asking for actor Ajay Devgn's opinion too.

Joined by director and close friend Rohit Shetty, the actor-director duo gave their insights on various topics, including the upcoming rising actors of today, paparazzi, and more. As expected from this show, the ongoing nepotism debate made its way into the conversation. Ajay Devgn talked about the misunderstandings about the misinterpreted, easy journey of celebrities, shedding light on the their own hardships and personal challenges they face.

Being of the notion that success is not handed to one on a platter, Ajay Devgn said, “People don’t realise that the generations have worked and worked very hard to reach till here. It’s not an easy story.”

After Karan Johar shared his views on the nepotism debate, the ‘Singham’ star further said, “Whether you belong to the film industry or you don’t, struggle sabke liye barabar hai. Aur hard work toh utna karna hi padta hai aapko. (No matter where you’re from, the struggle is the same for everyone. And you have to work hard to reach there).”

Pointing out to both his ankles, which are apparently broken, Ajay added, “People don’t see that part of you, of hard work. They just think that everything is handed to you. Nahi milta hai. (You don’t get it).”
