Putting an end to the speculations about his health, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday took to Twitter and said that he is not suffering from any disease.

Shah said since last few days people had been sharing "concocted stories on social media about my health."

"I am totally healthy and not suffering from any disease,"  Shah said in the Tweet.

Shah also said that some people had even posted tweets praying for his death.

"I hold no grudge against people who are spreading such rumours. I want to thank them too," Shah wrote.

The social media was abuzz with rumours and speculation surronding Shah's health. Recent photos of Shah were shared on social media with people commenting on his health and weight loss. However, the Home Minister did not respond to these speculations.

"When it came to my notice, I thought to let them enjoy these imaginary stories. That is why I didn't offer any explanation," he said.

"The country is fighting against coronavirus pandemic and as the Home Minister of the country, I have been busy with my work and wasn't focusing on such rumours," Shah added.

Shah said that after his party workers and well wishers expressed concerns, he had to clarify that he is not suffering from any disease.

Shah also said that according to Hindu traditions, such rumours only improve the health of a person.

He requested people to abstain from "such useless talks" and urged them to focus on their work instead.
