Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said that when Home Minister Amit Shah was the BJP President, he had asked for political strategist Prashant Kishor to be inducted into the Janata Dal-United (JDU).
"Someone wrote a letter I replied to it. Someone is tweeting, let him tweet. What do I've to do with it? One can stay in the party (JD-U) till he wants. He can go if he wants...Do you know how did he join the party? Amit Shah asked me to induct him," Kumar told the media while responding to a question on Prashant Kishor.
Reacting to Kumar's statement, Kishor told ANI, "Nitish Ji has spoken, you should wait for my answer. I will come to Bihar to answer him."

Kishor has repeatedly made his differences with the party known on the issue of the amended citizenship law. The JDU had supported the legislation in both the Houses of Parliament.
Last month, Kishor had told ANI that it is only Bihar Chief Minister Kumar, who can tell under what circumstances the party supported the Citizen (Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.
Earlier, Kishor, a strident critic of CAA-NPR-NRC scheme, had criticised Shah regarding his reaction to protests and said that being dismissive of citizens' dissent "could not be the sign of strength of any government".
"Amit Shah ji if you don’t care for those protesting against CAA, NRC, why don’t you go ahead and try implementing the CAA & NRC in the chronology that you so audaciously announced to the nation," the JD(U) leader tweeted.
