Sean Strickland enters tonight’s title clash at the Prudential Center in arguably the sharpest form of his career. Currently boasting a record of 30-7, the former champion has successfully silenced critics who questioned his durability after his 2025 title loss to Dricus du Plessis.

Strickland delivered a masterclass against the streaking Anthony "Fluffy" Hernandez. After controlling the distance with his signature jab for two rounds, Strickland finished the fight in the third with a devastating knee to the midsection followed by a barrage of strikes. It was his first stoppage victory since 2023, earning him a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

In his recent bouts, Strickland has maintained an incredible defensive efficiency, absorbing significantly less damage than the average middleweight. Daniel Dubois beat Fabio Wardley by an incredible WBO world heavyweight champion with an incredible 11th-round TKO victory in Manchester, reclaiming the WBO heavyweight title. Dubois overcame two early knockdowns, one in the first 10 seconds, in a high-action bout

King Green puts in one of the best performances of his career to beat Jeremy Stephens by submission in their lightweight bout. It was a superb display by Green, who was barely hit by Stephens before getting a submission in the first round itself.

Sean Brady beat Joaquin Buckley by unanimous decision in their welterweight bout. It was a dominant performance by Brady, and to do it against a fighter like Buckley is an even bigger achievement. And what a post-fight interview from the winner, too!

Alexander Volkov beats Waldo Cortes Acosta by unanimous decision in their heavyweight bout. Volkov was on top from the start, dominating the first two rounds. Cortes Acosta made a comeback in the third round, but it wasn't enough for the Dominican.

Joshua Van defends his flyweight title with a technical knockout win against Tatsuro Taira. What a superb performance it was from Van, and an equally fight from Taira! The Japanese looked down and out by the middle of the third round, but then made an incredible comeback. It was evenly matched entering the final round, but Van clinched the bout with a barrage of head and body shots that leads to the referee to call the fight.

The fight we were waiting for between the unbeaten champion Khamzat Chimaev and former holder Sean Strickland is about to get underway. The two middleweight title contenders enter the Octagon. The referee for the fight is Herb Dean. Stay tuned.

It has been a cagey start to the fight, with Chimaev getting Strickland on the hooks after an early takedown. The challenger tries to break free but is unable to. Chimaev gets a few jab towards the end and gets Strickland in a headlock briefly, but not a lot of action in the first round, as was expected.

The fight opens up more, with the pair exchanging jabs at the face, with both fighters connecting. Chimaev gets on his back while Strickland defends. The latter lands a good blow and keeps the Emirati fighter on the mat. The round ends with Strickland on top. Not a great showing from the reigning champion.

Khamzat looks a bit tired as the third round begins, and Strickland looks confident. There's a good rally of jabs and counters from the pair. Much more evenly matched contest in this round, but Strickland is on top with his defensive shots.

A good right hand from Chimaev as the Emirati finds his rhythm in the bout. Now Strickland is the one who seems tired, and hasn't really worked Chimaev's body. Chimaev takes down Strickland with less than a minute to go, pushing him against the cage. The defender takes this round, it seems.

Chimaev continues to grapple Strickland, who looks absolutely spent. However, the challenger continues to land some good jabs, but can't get Chimaev off him. Chimaev gets another takedown with just over a minute remaining, but Strickland gets away. It's as competitive as it can be. The round ends with both players exchanging a volley of jabs.

We have a new middleweight champion!! Sean Strickland clinches the fight by split decision, and Khamzat Chimaev ties the belt around his challenger's waist. A brilliant fight, all around, and Strickland is the deserving winner.
