Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) Virat Kohli continued against Gujarat Titans (GT) from where he left off against SRH in the last match. Scoring his seventh IPL hundred, the Indian batter went past 'Universal Boss' Chris Gayle.

From 2011-2017, Kohli and Gayle were team-mates at RCB, and were one of the most feared batting duos in the competition.

In a must-win match to qualify for the play-offs, RCB needed a big performance, which is where the former India team captain shone, as he brought up his hundred in just 60 balls. Kohli's movement at the crease was spectacular, as he struck 13 fours and one six in his innings.

Earlier in the day, Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to keep their chances of qualification alive, especially since Bengaluru had been marred by rain.

RCB's match against GT had a late start due to wet outfield, but the ground staff did their best to ensure that the audience at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium got a full 40-over match.

For RCB, getting the 2 points is a must, as it will enable them to qualify for the play-offs owing to a better net run rate than MI.
