Italy are set to take on Jersey in Match 4 of the ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier 2025 at The Hague’s Sportpark Westvliet on Sunday, 6 July. Italy, unbeaten and leading the table after beating Guernsey by seven wickets, will build on their strong tournament start against a Jersey side that lost their opener to the Netherlands.
Italy had a comfortable 123-run chase against Guernsey on 5 July. A three-wicket spell from Harry Manenti stopped the Guernsey batters in their tracks, and opener Anthony Mosca top-scored with 66 runs off 37 deliveries. Assisted by skipper Joe Burns (30 off 22) and Manenti (22 off 22), Italy secured a win with six overs to spare.
Jersey had a tougher start to their campaign. Despite putting up a competitive total of 160, courtesy of Zak Tribe (39 off 33) and Charlie Brennan (32 off 28), they were overpowered by the Dutch side. The hosts, led by Max O’Dowd (62 off 48), chased down the total with three balls left.
With only the top two sides from the five-nation round-robin progressing through to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, both sides will look to get crucial points under their belt in the early stages.
