Deepti registered career-best figures of 6/31 before playing a solid hand with the bat, remaining unbeaten on 39 as India beat West Indies by five wickets and 130 balls to spare.

Renuka Singh also displayed exceptional skill with the new ball, picking 4/29.

India, chasing a modest total of 163, recovered from a few early jolts, losing Smriti Mandhana for four, Prathika Rawal for 18 and Harleen Deol for just one to get home in 28.2 overs.

Swashbuckling Richa Ghosh’s Swashbuckling 11-ball 23 alongside Deepti’s composed and Harmanpreet Kaur’s steady knocks were enough to seal the day and complete a 3-0 sweep.

Earlier on in the day, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first, but struggled in cool conditions as Renuka Singh swung the new ball and dismantled the top-order.

West Indies, who lost wickets at regular intervals dented their chances of a win, ending their innings in the 39th over.
