India's top shuttler PV Sindhu is set to face Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong in the round of 16 at the BWF Indonesia Open 2025 on Thursday, June 5.
Sindhu began her campaign at Istora Senayan with a hard-fought victory over Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara, edging past her 22-20, 21-23, 21-15 in the round of 32 encounter.
The two-time Olympic medallist is still searching for her first title of the 2025 season. She had a disappointing run at the Singapore Open, where she exited in the round of 16 after losing to China’s Chen Yufei.
Chochuwong, meanwhile, set up the clash with Sindhu following a comfortable 21-18, 21-12 win over Chinese Taipei’s Chiu Pin-Chian in her opening round.
