OPMS Kratom Review: Liquid Kratom Shots & Capsules Reviewed And Rated

OPMS are definitely one of the “big players” in the main kratom retail market. If you can get kratom locally, then it’s probably going to be OPMS liquid kratom extracts or capsules. But are OPMS kratom products any good?

In this complete OPMS kratom shots review I’m going to tell you everything you need to know about the quality of the liquid kratom they sell, and I’ll also cover the Gold, Black, and Silver kratom capsules as well.

What Defines The Best Kratom Shots?

The best kratom shots offer the best balance between cost, potency, and the quality of the kratom used.

This means the following:

The cost must be similar to other companies, and not ridiculously higher or lower.
The kratom shots must be potent, and this is the same with kratom extract capsules as well. They should be significantly stronger than standard kratom at the same dose.
The quality of the kratom used is important. You’ll get a better alkaloid balance, especially if you specifically pick green, red, or green veined kratom strains for the products, rather than generically using any kratom mixed together.

Who Exactly Are OPMS & What Do They Sell?

OPMS have been around for many years, and are certainly the brand of kratom that I was first aware of when I was younger.

The reason is simple. They mass-produce kratom extract shots and capsules packaged in small quantities, that stack nicely together and take up a small space on the shelf.

The small space they take up, along with the price at wholesale means that they are picked up by local independent retailers who know they will get a good markup profit on each sale they make.

So over the years, they’ve grown reputation simply by being in front of people’s faces in the real world, and increasingly some of the poorer quality online retailers as well.

Whether that’s a good reputation or not is debatable, as there is an awful lot of negative reviews about the quality of the kratom for the price online.

Also, they are currently in the middle of a lawsuit due to the fact that they did not clearly comply with the FDA regulations on the potency of the kratom extracts, or potential issues with taking kratom, the FDA require (look at the foot of good quality kratom retailer websites to see that they all have a disclaimer).

Are OPMS Liquid Kratom Shots The Best Kratom Shots?

OPMS liquid shots are made from kratom extract. Let me just explain what extracts are.

Kratom powder, or more traditionally kratom leaves, are boiled down with water and sometimes alcohol and other ingredients into a thick muddy paste. Leaves or powder are added to this during the process to continually enrich this paste, so that it contains far more kratom alkaloids than you could obtain naturally.

That paste is then dried out, and ground into a powder. That’s what you find in kratom extract tablets.

For the liquid extract shots, it’s not reduced down to a paste, but instead a thick liquid. This is then used as the base for creating the liquid shot liquid that you will consume.

OPMS are made using this process, although they do not describe it on their website. They do describe them as the most potent and best value kratom shots around though, but I’m not convinced by that at all.

So many people who’ve used to extract shots, and then used other company’s products, have found that they are simply not as potent as claimed.

It’s impossible to prove that claim on strength either way, especially as there are no certificates of analysis on the website of the company who make OPMS kratom, which is what other kratom vendors do provide for each batch of kratom powder that they sell.

How Good Are OPMS Extract Capsules?

OPMS kratom extract capsules use the powder extracted from kratom as I’ve just described as their base.

They claim to be so potent that they can only be sold in small quantities, which for both the Gold and Black product ranges, means packs of two, three, or five capsules.

Are they any good? Well, that’s obviously subjective. I tried these capsules several times a few years back, as I’ll explain later. For me, they weren’t that great.

Look at user reviews online as well, and generally, you’ll see that although they can give a decent experience, they are vastly overpriced when compared to other non-branded kratom from expert online retailers.

Are OPMS Legit?

Are OPMS legit? Sure, they definitely are a seller of products that contain Mitragynine and other extracted kratom alkaloids.

But are they the best? Are they as potent as they claim? The answer is definitely no.

Several issues I have with them, which I have to tell you at the end of this OPMS kratom shots review, are:

The kratom extracts are not as potent as other extracts I’ve tried.
The kratom shots Gold and Black liquid kratom extracts products both contain alcohol, propylene glycol, and also corn syrup. None of these are good for you, and can cause problems in some people.
OPMS kratom is very expensive for what you get. $20 per pair of extract capsules? Do me a favor. It’s the same with the liquid shots, especially bought singly, they are simply incredibly expensive but what you get is not great quality kratom.
This is just batched kratom. There’s no subtlety, no different alkaloid balances. You’re not getting green, red, or white kratom. It’s just bulk powder of any type.

They also do another product, Silver. This is standard leaf powder. And it’s the same standard kratom powder in the capsules. That’s why the Silver range is less potent and why you can buy higher capsule counts in pouches.

But this is just generic kratom. Although they use terms like Malay, Maeng Da, and Indo, these are definitely not strains from those regions.

Neither do know if its green, red, white kratom, all of which has a slightly different alkaloid balance from the others, which sets them apart.

Maeng Da, translates from Thai as “pimp grade”. It simply means stronger blended kratom. But with these guys, everything is just blended kratom, so what does it even mean?

Put that all together, and the conclusion of my review is that these are mass-produced, blended kratom products, that are sold as incredibly potent and exclusive products, but simply don’t match that claim, and nobody can prove otherwise.

How I Felt After Using OPMS Liquid Extracts

For a few years, OPMS kratom is all I knew. At the start my kratom journey, I saw it in a local gas station and tried it.

Although I felt good, the experience wasn’t great, especially not for the price. I tried the shots, and the extract tablets. Perhaps things have changed, but they weren’t that strong for me even back then.

Increasing problems with my back made me want to try something other than opiates, so I looked for therapeutic herbs online, and kratom came up. I realized there’s a huge world of green, red, white kratom, in extracts, powders, and liquids, that I wasn’t previously aware of.

Trying some of those, especially just good quality kratom powder, made me realize I had not been getting the full experience. Specifically, the vein colors are very different, with white being more energizing, and red being more therapeutic and pain relieving.

But none of this is reflected in OPMS kratom, which is very generic, and for me, not even that potent.

If you’re just looking for good quality kratom powder, or the same high-quality powder in capsules, then I would recommend you take a look at KONA kratom.

Best Alternative For Liquid Kratom Extracts: MIT45

As this is specifically an OPMS kratom shots review, and I’ve concluded they are not the best kratom shots, then it begs the question, what are the best kratom shots?

For me, MIT45 produce the best liquid kratom extracts you can buy right now.

The weakest product is called BOOST. That contains caffeine as well as around 50 mg of high-quality kratom extracts. Not that potent, but great for a pick me up during the day.

The four products you should focus on are:

For beginners, I recommend the Gold product. Containing around 180 mg of Mitragynine extract, it’s a great full-spectrum, beginners kratom drink.

At the other end of the spectrum, you have SUPER K XS, containing an incredible 1200 mg of full-spectrum kratom extract. That’s incredibly potent, especially when compared to the paltry 370 mg of full-spectrum kratom extracts you get in the OPMS Black liquid kratom extract shot.
