Good governance is to ensure quality implementation of public welfare schemes and development activities within the time limit said Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a virtual review of public welfare schemes and development activities in Agar-Malwa district.

Every possible effort is being made to provide better life to the people of the state and provide all opportunities for development, he said while giving necessary instructions to the officials.

Those involved in corruption in government work will not be spared, he added.

Strict action should be taken by adopting a policy of zero tolerance towards drug peddlars and persons involved in anti-social activities, said Chief Minister. Those guilty of destroying young generation through drugs should not be spared, said Chouhan.

He enquired about the progress of construction of indoor stadium in Agar, widening of Ujjain-Jhalawar highway and Ujjain-Kota road.

Covid preparedness

There is no need for people to panic, but caution is necessary, said Chouhan on the changing trend of Covid. He appealed public to take precautionary measures to deal with the changing trend of Covid, by wearing masks and getting booster doses. He directed officials to conduct mock drill in hospitals.

Minister in-charge of the district Yashodhara Raje Scindia, MLA Rana Vikram Singh, Principal Secretary Neeraj Mandloi and other officers attended the meeting.

Chouhan congratulated the District officers for the remarkable achievement against the target in Pradhan Mantri Awas Rural and Awas Plus Rural.

Devi Lok – Salkanpur

A huge Devi Lok will be built at Salkanpur in Sehore district, announced Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The Chief Minister was reviewing the development works of Vindhyavasani Vijayasan Mata Mandir, Salkanpur at his residence. He instructed the officials to prepare the DPR of the Salkanpur Temple Corridor and start the work from April 2023.
