

The foundation has earmarked Rs 8 crore for the project aimed at providing sustainable public sanitation with its focus on the urban poor, especially women.Says Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Murthy: "Every human being has a responsibility towards the society. The rich and the well-off sections should contribute their mite for the welfare of mankind." Other than the public sanitation project, the foundation has been supporting more than 1,000 schools in rural areas, providing textbooks and stationery.
