Minimum Temperatures Hover Close To Normal In Punjab, Haryana

The minimum temperatures in Rohtak and Bhiwani in Haryana too recorded a low of 11.6 degrees Celsius and 9.9 degree Celsius, respectively. Meanwhile, Hisar recorded a low of 8.9 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperatures at several places in Punjab and Haryana hovered close to normal limits on Tuesday. According to the meteorological department (MeT), while Chandigarh recorded a low of 10.2 degrees Celsius, Ambala and Karnal in Haryana registered 11.2 degrees Celsius and 9.2 degree Celsius, respectively. 

The fog was observed in the morning over parts of south and south-western Punjab and south and south-western Haryana.The minimum temperatures in Rohtak and Bhiwani in Haryana too recorded a low of 11.6 degrees Celsius and 9.9 degree Celsius, respectively. Meanwhile, Hisar recorded a low of 8.9 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Ludhiana recorded a low of 10.8 degrees Celsius, Pathankot's low settled at 10.7 degree Celsius and Patiala's at 9.3 degree Celsius. However, Bathinda and Amritsar experienced a cold night, recording respective minimum temperatures of 6 degrees Celsius and 7.2 degree Celsius.

MeT forecast said dry weather will prevail over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh over the next five days. However, fog is likely on Wednesday morning in isolated pockets in the two states. The minimum temperatures are likely to witness a fall of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during the next two days and rise thereafter. Windy conditions are also likely to prevail during these days, it added.
