The Finance Ministry has appealed to its employees to contribute one day salary every month to the Prime Minister Cares Fund till March 2021.
In a circular addressed to the Department of Revenue, dated April 17, the ministry has urged the staff to aid the government's efforts to fight the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Board has written to all the revenue officials, including both boards CBIC, CBDT and DDO, Department of Revenue.
The circular also addressed NIC with a request to send SMS to all officers and staff members.
The ministry also said the officials who might have an objection to the requested contribution may intimate the authorities by April 20.
