The city's Public Works Department (PWD) has given the residents of the Dhaula Kuan slum notice to leave the area in order to eliminate illegal land encroachments. On December 29, the organisation sent the occupants with an eviction notice requesting that they leave the location within 15 days.
Amid spine-chilling winter, slum dwellers complained about the fact that they have nowhere else to go during the terrifying.
The PWD notice said that if the dwellers do not leave the Dhaula Kuan slum by themselves. Police help will be required.
