Patiala's minimum was 8.8 degrees Celsius while Pathankot's minimum was 6 degrees Celsius. Bathinda, Faridkot and Gurdaspur registered their respective minimum temperatures of 4.4, 4.8 and 10.5 degrees Celsius.

Cold weather conditions prevailed in many parts of Punjab and Haryana while minimum temperatures stayed close to normal levels at several places of both the states on Sunday.

Amritsar in Punjab recorded a minimum temperature of 6.6 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana's low settled at 8.9 degrees Celsius, according to a report of the Meteorological Department here. 

Patiala's minimum was 8.8 degrees Celsius while Pathankot's minimum was 6 degrees Celsius. Bathinda, Faridkot and Gurdaspur registered their respective minimum temperatures of 4.4, 4.8 and 10.5 degrees Celsius.

Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a low of 9.6 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. In Haryana, Ambala's minimum was 11 degrees C while Hisar's minimum settled at 12.8 degrees Celsius. Narnaul, Rohtak, Bhiwani and Sirsa recorded their minimum temperatures at 8.4, 8.6, 13 and 6 degrees Celsius respectively.
