What is K. Karunakaran’s next goal? Having wreaked considerable damage on the state unit of the Congress, he now wants to finish off the ruling United Democratic Front (UDF) altogether. "I want to bury the UDF. That is my goal," the veteran Congressman-turned-rebel stated recently. With elections due next year, he needs to keep his flock in high spirits and wean away any fence-sitters. Perhaps the reason why he’s stepped up his campaign against CM Oommen Chandy, the "worst ever" that Kerala has had. Such strong words from the ‘Leader’ is only good news for the Left Front which won the two recent state byelections by thumping margins.
