Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was killed on Wednesday after the aircraft carrying him crashed during landing near Baramati in Pune district. The plane caught fire on impact, and rescue teams rushed to the site, but all five on board, including Pawar, could not be saved. The leader was heading to Baramati to address four public meetings ahead of the Zilla Parishad elections when the incident occurred.
