  • Hong Kong Weeps in Ashes: The Wang Fuk Court Inferno

A massive fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Wang Fuk Court, a 38-year-old public housing estate in Tai Po, New Territories, rapidly turning into one of Hong Kong’s deadliest residential blazes in decades. The fire, which started on a lower floor, spread quickly through the aging 16-storey block, producing intense heat and thick black smoke that filled corridors and stairwells, trapping many residents inside their units. At least ten people were confirmed dead, dozens were injured, some critically, and a number of residents remained missing as search-and-rescue operations continued into the second day.

  • Nottingham Forest 3-0 FC Malmo, UEFA Europa League 2025-26: NFC Win In 1979 European Final Rematch

Nottingham Forest produced a dominant display to beat Sweden’s Malmö FF 3-0 in a rematch of the 1979 European Cup final. Malmo was a semi-professional team when it lost 1-0 in Munich to the English side, which also went on to retain the title the following year. The teams wore the same color schemes as in that final, with the hosts in all red and the visitors in pale blue shirts and white shorts, and Forest invited players from both 1979 teams to the City Ground to pose for a photo before kickoff.

  • Aston Villa 2-1 Young Boys, UEFA Europa League: Malen Hit By Object As Fan Violence Mars UEL Game

Donyell Malen scored twice for Aston Villa in a 2-1 win over Young Boys on Thursday in a Europa League game that was temporarily halted because of crowd trouble that included the forward being hit by an object thrown from the stands. Malen appeared to be struck by a plastic cup after his 27th-minute goal — leaving a small cut on his head — and Young Boys fans again pelted the Villa players with thrown objects after the Dutch forward doubled the lead in the 42nd. Some away supporters then clashed with police, leading to the game being halted for about five minutes.

Jimmy Butler had 21 points, five rebounds and five assists, Stephen Curry scored 14 points, and rookie Will Richard 18 for the Warriors. Moses Moody, who reached 2,000 career points, hit a 3-pointer with six seconds left to pull Golden State within two. Then Moody fouled Sheppard, who converted both free throws to seal it.

  • Pafos 2-2 Monaco, UEFA Champions League: Veteran David Luiz Helps Cyprus Champs To Draw

David Luiz returned to Europe at age 38, after four years in his native Brazil, to help Cyprus champions Pafos to a 2-2 draw with Monaco in their debut UEFA Champions League season. The former Brazil star scored his first goal in the competition since October 2017 with a powerful header into the Monaco net at a corner. His previous Champions League goal came in his second spell at Chelsea where he was key in the 2012 Champions League title-winning team. Luiz became the second-oldest scorer in the Champions League, behind only another veteran defender Pepe. Monaco held a 2-1 lead from the 26th, when United States forward Folarin Balogun intercepted a pass by goalkeeper Neofytos Michaeland to score with a low shot. Pafos levelled in the 88th when the ball struck Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu after rebounding from the crossbar for an own goal.

  • Liverpool 1-4 PSV Eindhoven, UEFA Champions League: Reds' Home Loss Compounds Arne Slot's Woes

Arne Slot was facing a full-blown crisis at Liverpool on Thursday (November 27, 2025) after the beleaguered English Premier League champions lost by a three-goal margin for the third straight game and plunged into their worst run of form in more than 70 years. PSV Eindhoven pulled away for a 4-1 win at Anfield in the UEFA Champions League to leave Liverpool with nine defeats in their last 12 games, a scarcely believable streak for a team that cruised to the Premier League title a matter of months ago and then spent 570 million US dollars on new players in the summer transfer window. Couhaib Driouech netted a brace, including a stoppage-time goal to seal the win for PSV.
