  • India Vs Australia, 1st T20I: Rain Puts Paid To Canberra Opener

    The series-opening T20 international between Australia and India was washed out on Wednesday (October 29, 2025) after persistent rain restricted play to less than 10 overs. Australia skipper Mitchell Marsh won the toss and sent India in to bat. T20 World Cup champions India batted for 9.4 overs and reached 97-1 before rain stopped play a second time, with Suryakumar Yadav unbeaten on 39 off 24 deliveries and Shubman Gill not out 37 off 20 balls. An hour later, umpires declared the match over. The only wicket to fall was Abhishek Sharma, who scored 19 from 14 deliveries before he chipped Nathan Ellis to Tim David at mid-off in the fourth over.

  • South Africa Beat England By 125 Runs in ICC Women's World Semi-Final 1

    South Africa delivered a sensational all-round performance to crush England by 125 runs and storm into their first-ever ICC Women’s World Cup final. Skipper Laura Wolvaardt was the star of the show with a breathtaking 169 off 143 balls, powering the Proteas to an imposing 319/6. Marizanne Kapp then produced one of the finest spells ever seen in a World Cup semi-final, taking 5/34, including two double-wicket maidens, to rip through England’s lineup. Although Nat Sciver-Brunt (64) and Alice Capsey (50) offered brief resistance, England never recovered from their horror start at 1/3. South Africa now await the winner of the India vs Australia semifinal.

  • 19 Days After Declaring Peace, Israel Hits Gaza With Airstrikes - In Photos

    Less than 20 days after declaring a ceasefire, Israel ,on Tuesday night, launched airstrikes on Gaza following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu order to the military to carry out “powerful attacks” on the strip. According to the latest reports from the Gaza Civil Defence Agency, at least 50 are feared dead. The airstrikes are happening even as Israel says Hamas handed over to it a coffin on Monday that did not contain the remains of a deceased hostage. Meanwhile, Hamas says that Israel is obstructing efforts to search for bodies in Gaza, and that it is postponing the agreed-upon handover of another dead hostage. On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked an Israeli settlement, killing over 1,200 settlers. Israel responded by launching a military campaign in Gaza, during which more than 68,500 people have been killed, according to the territory's Hamas-run health ministry

    Giannis Antetokounmpo powered the Milwaukee Bucks to a 121-111 comeback win over the New York Knicks with 37 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. The Bucks overturned a 12-point halftime deficit as Antetokounmpo ignited an 8-0 run after Jalen Brunson, who scored 36, appeared to hurt his leg in the fourth quarter. Ryan Rollins chipped in a career-high 25 points, while Mikal Bridges had 24 for New York.     Fourth-tier Grimsby’s impressive run in the English League Cup came to an end with a thrashing by Premier League team Brentford on Tuesday. Brentford won 5-0 at Blundell Park, the scene of Manchester United’s stunning loss to Grimsby in the second round in August. Grimsby then beat second-tier Sheffield Wednesday in the third round but got overwhelmed by Brentford, which had five different scorers — Mathias Jensen, Keane Lewis-Potter, Reiss Nelson, Fabio Carvalho and Nathan Collins.     Babar Azam was dismissed for a duck in his comeback to T20 cricket as under-strength South Africa romped to 55-run win over Pakistan on Tuesday in the opener of a three-match series. Pakistan couldn’t recover from Corbin Bosch’s twin strike that included the wicket of Babar before South Africa bowled out the home team for 139 to the disappointment of 16,000 home fans at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. South Africa had earlier made 194-9 after captain Donovan Ferreira lost the toss and was asked to bat first. Opening batter Reeza Hendricks scored 60 off 40 balls and George Linde added 36 off 22 balls.

  • Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Round 2, Day 4: Mohammed Shami's Fifer Helps Bengal Beat Gujarat; MAH, J&K Also Win

    Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, and Maharashtra emerged as the only three teams to register wins in the second round of the Ranji Trophy, while the rest settled for draws. Mohammed Shami delivered a sensational spell of 5/38 to guide Bengal to a 141-run victory over Gujarat at Eden Gardens. Jammu and Kashmir dominated Rajasthan, winning by an innings and 41 runs, while Maharashtra, led by Ankit Bawne, secured a hard-fought 144-run win over Chandigarh.
