Ukrainian forces recaptured Lyman this week and forced the Russian forces to retreat away from there. Since they launched a counter-offensive in Eastern Ukraine in early September, Ukraine has retaken several major towns. With each discovery, the extent of the destruction of Russian invasion of Ukraine is learnt. Lyman's houses are torn and streets are littered with remnants of the war. The fleeing Russian soldiers also left behind bodies of their fallen comrades to rot.
